Instagram photo downloader

Instagram doesn't give you a download button on its own posts, which makes it awkward to keep a copy of a photo you actually want — a friend's picture, your own old post, something for a mood board. The Photo Downloader fixes that: paste a username or a direct post link, and it fetches the photo at the resolution it was originally uploaded in.

You can either search a username to browse someone's whole grid and pick a photo from there, or drop in the link to one specific post if you already know which photo you want. Either way, it only works on public accounts — the same content anyone could already see by opening that profile in a logged-out browser.

This only works on public accounts. If a profile is private, its posts are visible only to approved followers, and no tool — IGAnony included — can pull photos out of that without those followers' access. That's an Instagram-level restriction, not something any downloader gets around.

One more distinction worth knowing: a photo post is different from a Reel or a regular video post, even though they can look similar in a grid thumbnail.
