What is the Reels Downloader?
The Reels Downloader saves a public account's Reels as MP4 files, at the same resolution they were originally posted in, without stamping a logo or watermark over the video. You can search by username to browse an account's Reels, or paste a direct link to one specific reel you already found.
It's built for people who want a real copy of a video, not a re-recording off the screen — a creator archiving their own posts, someone saving a tutorial to watch offline later, or a marketer pulling a reference clip for research.
It only works on Reels from public accounts. If a reel comes from a private account, or was shared privately to someone's story, IGAnony has no way to reach it — the same way no logged-out visitor to Instagram could.
How to download an Instagram reel

Type an Instagram username to browse their Reels, or paste a direct link to a specific reel copied from the app's Share menu.

Username search vs. pasting a reel link
Searching by username loads a public account's Reels so you can browse and pick one, which is useful when you're exploring a profile's video content generally. Pasting a direct reel link skips the browsing step entirely and goes straight to that one video — better when you've already found the reel elsewhere, such as sent to you or seen in someone's story.
Both paths reach the same public data and produce the same download quality. The link works only for reels that are still publicly accessible; if the account has since gone private or removed the reel, the link will no longer load.
If you're not sure which to use, default to the username search — it's more forgiving, since it doesn't depend on having copied a link correctly, and it lets you browse in case the exact reel you remembered isn't the one you end up wanting.
Saving a downloaded reel

Tap download and Safari or Chrome will save the MP4 to your Photos app, or prompt you to choose a location depending on your settings.
Android
The video file saves straight to your Downloads folder, and most Android browsers also offer to save it directly into your gallery.
Desktop

Why is the on-screen caption text missing from some downloads?
Text added through Instagram's caption sticker is sometimes rendered as part of the video and sometimes as a separate overlay layer that isn't included in the underlying file Instagram serves — this depends on how the creator added it, not on the downloader.
Is there a length limit on reels I can download?
No separate limit is applied by the Reels Downloader — if Instagram allows the reel to be posted at that length, it can be downloaded.
Can I download a reel that was shared to someone's story?
Only if the original reel post itself is still public and accessible on the creator's profile. A story repost doesn't create a separate downloadable file.
