What is the Reels Audio Downloader?
A Reel is a video, but sometimes the only thing you actually want is the sound — a trending song, a voiceover, a sound bite someone used well. The Reels Audio Downloader strips the video track out entirely and gives you a standalone MP3 of just the audio from a public Reel.
Paste the link to a Reel and IGAnony pulls the audio track exactly as it was posted, at its original quality, with no video attached to carry around. It works the same way every IGAnony tool does: it can only reach Reels on public accounts, the same content anyone browsing Instagram while logged out could already see and hear.
How to download audio from a Reel
- 1
Copy the Reel's link
Open the Reel in the Instagram app or on the web, tap the share icon (or the three dots), and choose "Copy link."
- 2
Switch to the Reels tab
This page opens on the Reels tab by default. Paste the link into the search box.
- 3
Load the reel
Press the button to fetch it. The Reel loads with its video preview so you can confirm it's the right one before saving anything.
- 4
Download the audio only
Use the audio download option next to the video preview. The file saves as an MP3 with just the sound — the video track is left out entirely.
What the Reels Audio Downloader does
Audio, isolated cleanly
The video track is dropped, not just muted in the preview — the file you download is a real MP3 containing only the audio, so it's a fraction of the size of the source Reel.
Original audio quality
The sound is pulled straight from the Reel as posted. Nothing is re-recorded or run through a lossy re-encode beyond standard MP3 conversion.
Works with a plain reel link
You don't need a username or account search — a direct link to the Reel is all the tool needs to find and process it.
No app install required
The whole extraction happens in your browser tab. There's nothing to install on your phone or computer to get the MP3 out.
A few things worth knowing before you download
This tool only works on Reels from public accounts — it fetches the same audio Instagram already serves to any logged-out visitor who plays the Reel, just packaged as an MP3 instead of leaving it locked inside a video file. Reels from private accounts stay out of reach, here and everywhere else.
Also worth being upfront about: a lot of Reels use commercial, licensed music — a song from a major artist, a clip from a movie or show. Extracting that audio doesn't change who owns it. If you plan to reuse the sound somewhere else, especially anywhere commercial, the original rights holder's copyright still applies, and that's a separate matter from anything IGAnony controls. When in doubt, stick to Reels using original audio, voiceovers, or sounds the creator made themselves.
Saving the MP3 on your device
iPhone
Tap the audio download button; Safari or Chrome will download the MP3 into the Files app, usually under the Downloads folder, where you can rename it or move it into a music app that supports local files.
Android
Tap download and the MP3 lands in your device's Downloads folder automatically — from there you can open it with any music player or move it into a dedicated audio app.
Desktop
Click the download button and the MP3 saves to your browser's default downloads folder, ready to open in any media player or import into audio editing software.
Reel audio downloader FAQ
Do I get a video file too, or just audio?
Just audio. The audio download button produces an MP3 with no video track at all — if you also want the video, use the audio and video downloads separately, or the main Reels tool for the full clip.
What audio format does the file download in?
MP3. It's the most widely supported audio format, so it opens on virtually any phone, computer, or media player without needing a specific app.
Can I extract audio from a Reel that uses a trending song?
Technically yes, the extraction works the same regardless of the audio source. But trending commercial songs are usually licensed to the artist or label, and reusing that audio elsewhere — especially commercially — is a separate copyright matter from downloading it.
Does the downloaded audio include the original poster's voiceover?
Yes. Whatever audio is baked into the Reel — voiceover, background music, sound effects, or a mix — comes through in the MP3 exactly as it plays in the Reel itself.
Will the audio quality be worse than the original Reel?
No meaningful loss. The track is pulled from the Reel's original audio stream and converted to MP3, which preserves the sound closely — it isn't re-recorded through a microphone or degraded on purpose.
Can I use a username instead of a Reel link?
This tool is built around a direct Reel link so it can isolate the exact clip you want. To browse a profile's Reels first, use the main Reels tab, then copy the link of the one you want the audio from.
Why did the audio extraction fail?
The most common reasons are a private account, a Reel that's been deleted, or a pasted link that points to something other than a Reel, like a regular post. Double-check the link and that the account is public.
Is there a length limit on the Reel audio I can extract?
No separate limit beyond Instagram's own Reel length limits. Whatever length the Reel was posted at, the full audio track downloads.
Can I download audio from my own Reels?
Yes. Your own public Reels work exactly the same as anyone else's — paste the link to your own Reel to pull the audio out of it.
